Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho catches up on sleep on way to training after letting rip over disappointing wake-up call at Stoke
Jose Mourinho is stepping up Manchester United’s preparations for their EFL Cup trip to Hull City after making his displeasure with their draw at Stoke clear to his players this week.
Mourinho appeared to be catching up on sleep as he headed for training on Tuesday having expressed his frustration at seeing United fail to make up ground on the rest of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ in a 1-1 draw at the Bet365 Stadium.
On Tuesday morning he was pictured on the way to their Carrington base before United look to make amends by securing a place at Wembley on Thursday night.
The 53-year-old wrapped up warm as he jumped into a Jaguar outside the five-star hotel.
Mourinho’s men travel to Hull with a 2-0 first-leg advantage in their bid to reach the EFL Cup final.
That would go some way to making up for his disappointment at his players for dropping points at Stoke on a weekend when the teams above them failed to win too.
Wayne Rooney grabbed a late equaliser for his record-breaking 250th goal for the club but United once again struggled to convert their chances into goals for the most part.
